Morgen Abend um 22:15 kommen wir in accra an und werden von einem sicherlich freundlichen Fahrer des Hotels abgeholt. Unter http://www.akwaaba-beach.de/ könnt ihr einen Blick in unser erstes Hotel werfen und sorry, ich glaube ihr werdet alle neidisch sein...
Da unsere Presseakkreditierungen auch heute nicht gekommen sind, werden wir also am 16. erstmal die Stadt erforschen, auf der suche nach Verantwortlichen des Turniers.
Dankenswerterweise hat uns ja Puma eingeladen. Ich dachte ja erst an einen Witz, aber es ist Wirklichkeit. Drei Tage in einem der nobelsten Hotels von Accra, inklusive Essen, Interviews und der Besuch des Eröffnungsspiels (natürlich mit Shuttle)!!! Kaum zu glauben.
Am 21. fahren wir nach Sekondi, wo wir das Vorrundenspiel Nigeria-Cote d'Ivoire und Namibia-Marocco besuchen werden.
Dann haben wir erstmal einen Break. Mal sehen, wie es weitergeht! ihr werdet es erfahren.

And now for our friends from the other side of the channel a few words on english. It is indeed almost time to go. Ten hours, to be exact. Backbacks are packed, hair is cutted and answeringmachines ready.
Tomorrow night at about 10.55 pm we will (hopefully) arrive in Accra and be picked up by "prince" our certainly friendly driver from the first hotel we've booked in. If you want to have a look http://www.akwaaba-beach.de/ - but don't be jealous...
The accreditiations haven't arrived on time so we probably will spend most of Wednesday running around in Accra and looking for Mr. Habuba, teh press officier of the CAF. Keep your fingers cross that we will find him on time. In the meantime we got an invitation from Puma to stay a couple of days at one of the most noble places in Accra, visit the opening-game between Ghana and Guinea and meet Roger Milla as well as Anthony Yeboah. Not so bad either, especially as it includes a shuttle-service and probably a rather large buffet.
On Monday, 21th we will head to Sekondi to watch Ivory Coast vs. Nigeria. It's Didier Drogba vs. Berti Vogts and I'm sure whom I'd like to win. Allez Guingamp, bien sûr! Later on the same day we hopefully will see Marocco vs. Namibia as well.
Afterwards? We don't know yet. But rest assured, we'll keep you informed. So stay tuned to "around-the-football-world". Jakedaa and Up the Gas!
